How to Get Rid of Adolescent or Teen Acne: Better Solutions for Pimples are Out There
David Bridges asked the question:
You can eliminate adolescent acne, and reduce the amount of pimples and outbreaks that you have, no matter how many products you may have tried that failed. From the time that I was 13, until the time that I was 36, I suffered from severe acne. I had acne all over my face; and I also had blackheads all over my back. I went to the dermatologist; but he provided little help. All of the topical solutions, including Retina-A, only irritated my skin more. Everyone kept telling me that my acne would disappear once I got older. This was partially true; but although I had less bumps as I aged, the number of blemishes and spots on my face increased. Frustrated by years of acne, I decided to seek an all-natural solution to my bumps and blemishes. I had been a customer of Proactiv and Nature’s Cure for years, and of course they both worked for 1 month or so and then did nothing for the next three months. It seemed as though my acne learned to adapt. But, don’t be dismayed. Your story does not have to be the same as mine. Acne can be eliminated for good. Before I give some solutions, let’s discuss what acne is and where it comes from.
What is Acne, Pimples, Blackheads, & Whiteheads and Where do they come from?
Believe it or not, acne appears when your skin pores become blocked with sebum or excessive oil. This oil, which normally drains to the surface of the skin, becomes trapped. As a result, bacteria begins to grow, causing whiteheads, blackheads, cysts, or papules. When the trapped sebum and bacteria stay below your skin, you will get a whitehead. Whiteheads are those ugly, white bubbles that you are dying to bust. A blackhead, however, develops when the trapped sebum and bacteria partially open to your skin’s surface. The spot turns black because your skin’s pigment, melanin, reacts with the oxygen in the air to create a black, crusty bump. But what you most likely deal with is a “pimples.” Contrary to popular belief, facial blemishes are not caused by dirt. Pores do not get blocked from the top down due to “impurities”. Rather, the walls of a pore stick together deep within the skin, starting acne formation. The key to eliminating acne is cleaning your pores and using a solution that purifies and penetrates your skin.
A pimple develops where there is a break in you skin’s follicular wall. Yep, it is an ugly mess. But, you can get rid of them.
How can I eliminate my acne, blemishes, pimples, and blackheads?
You need to clean your pores. By exfoliating the outside layer of your skin with a gentle exfoliating cleanser, you can remove excess dirt, oils, skin and bacteria that could be clogged below the skin’s surface or sitting on the epidermis. If this stuff is not removed, your pores will get clogged; and if your pores get clogged, acne appears.
Avoid alcohol, acids, and chemical solutions. Your skin needs to train itself to balance “sebum” and oil and naturally fight bacteria. Alcohols, salicylic acid, Retina-A, and benzoyl peroxide, actually dry your skin. They take moisture from your skin. And, although moisture is the last thing you think you need when you have an oily face, you need it. Moisture actually protects your face from oncoming free radicals flying in the air at your pores. Also, chemical solutions and acids impair your skin from naturally fighting bacteria. Your skin begins to rely on something unnatural to fight something that naturally occurs. But, nature overpowers nurture in this case. Just like bug-eating plants learned to become immune to synthetic bug-killing fertilizers, acne-causing bacteria become immune to chemically created solutions. Why? Because chemical solutions are created to treat the type of bacteria they sought to treat that was in existence when the solutions were made. Unfortunately, bacteria are living organisms and they learn to mutate quickly. When mutation occurs, salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide fail.
What is the Best Way to Treat Acne?
Step One.
Go all-natural. Essential oils, natural herbs, and natural nutrients are the best way to kill acne. Fight nature by using nature. Essential oils are higher powered and more effective than any acid or peroxide created in a lab that was “derived” from some natural source. They are extremely potent and not harmful to your skin. Furthermore, they actually help to balance sebum without making your skin oily. The best product on the market that has essential oils and kills acne is Beauty 4 Ashes Acne Eliminating Facial Kit. The makers claim that there stuff works overnight; and I have to say, it really does. It exfoliates and cleans your skin brilliantly. This product is also packed with lots of skin healing ingredients, including Aloe Vera. In the two months that used it, my acne and scars literally disappeared. Best yet, in one year, my acne and blemishes have not returned and my pores have shrank. Beauty 4 Ashes has several skin care products created to treat acne, but I recommend ordering their kit first to get a bit of everything. You can find it online at www.discoverb4a.com.
Step Two.
Consider taking flax oil on a regular basis. You need to keep your system clean. But, you don’t need to spend tons of money on vitamins labeled nature’s cure. All you need to do is to flush your system of unnatural chemicals and preservatives that might be triggering your breakouts. You can buy flax oil anywhere. Check out Vitamin Shoppe or WalMart.
Step Three.
Drink 8-10 glasses of water per day. This will flush your system from all impurities and toxins.

Get Rid of Acne Pimples
Roy Carter asked the question:
gularly suffer from acne you will already be aware of the humiliation and downright embarrasment that this nasty condition can cause. It can totally wipe out and undermine your confidence and leave you feeling miserable and unattractive.
But is there really a way to get rid of acne pimples quickly?
Well, it depends what method you use and what you mean by quickly. Acne sufferers worldwide can tell you that they’ve tried probably dozens of so called acne cures without success. From acne ointments and creams to other chemical remedies that have just not worked for them at all.
I’m sure that almost every acne sufferer would tell you that they’d love to have an escape from taking pills, and the daily chore of rubbing harsh unknown chemicals on their skins, especially when very often the end result is just a mild reduction in their acne pimples, only for those unsightly spots and pimples to reappear all over again very rapidly.
If you do a search on the internet you will find that to get rid of acne pimples with chemicals, pills or ointments is very often only a temporary solution to the problem.
Chemical acne cures seem to be ten a penny online these days, but you need to be careful who you trust and what chemicals or pills you are taking as there are some horror stories out there from people who have bought pills online from dubious sources in an effort to get rid of their acne pimples.
So is there a more natural acne cure that really works?
Is there anything that can have your acne start to disappear – if not TOTALLY be gone – at the end of say, 3 days?
Well, it may take some fairly lengthy research to find this type of acne cure, but with the internet on our side it is now possible.
My son suffered from acne quite badly and was desperate to get rid of acne pimples that were appearing on his face, back and shoulders. As with a lot of acne sufferers the condition was making his life really miserable and he’d tried all sorts of prescribed pills and creams without any success. His self-confidence and self-esteem were at an all time low and he would spend hours on the computer searching through sites for an acne cure that would work for him.
It took him a long time and a lot of online research and trial and error, but he eventually found something that would prove to get rid of his acne pimples for good and surprisingly quickly, proving that it is now possible to get rid of acne pimples in as little as 3 days.
So don’t quit in your own online quest for an acne cure that really works for you!
The solutions are definitely out there and there really is no longer a need to suffer the acute embarrassment that acne can cause.

Best Tips to Eliminate your Acne and Pimples Fast
Elizabeth Mcmillan asked the question:
Many people experience acne not only as youths, or during puberty, but well into their adult years. Often, many individuals, especially women, don’t experience acne breakouts, pimples, or hormonal blemishes into their 20s and 30s. Plagued by recently developed acne, many people simply don’t know where to turn. What has caused their acne to develop? Only one reason—your body’s production of sebum has begun to change and this can occur at any point in life—not just during adolescence. But, don’t be dismayed, there is hope for you spur of acne, pimples, breakouts, and blemishes. Even if you are experiencing larger pores, whiteheads, papules, or blackheads, you can control your acne by doing natural things to regulate your body’s sebum (oil) production. If you do not regulate your body’s sebum (oil) production internally; unfortunately, your white blood cells will respond to the sebum by trying to release it from your body; unfortunately, your pores will be the dumping system of choice. As a result, you will have acne. Here are a few tips to help you regulate your sebum production:
1) Flush your system on a weekly basis. I know we all hate to discuss things such as this, but do you remember your mom and grandparents always bugging you to keep your system clean? I do. Well, those same people had some good points because they had a lot less acne and pimples than we do. How can you flush? Drink pineapple and prune juice. Yes, prune juice is disgusting, but it will alleviate excess sebum, toxins, and waste from your body that may trigger acne breakouts. Beat the sebum and toxins from getting to your pores. You can purchase prune juice or pineapple juice at your local grocer. WalMart actually makes a prune juice that contains no preservatives, which is a shocking plus, considering it is WalMart.
2) Use All-Natural Skin Care Products. Many people are unaware that they have allergic reactions to their personal care products due to the chemicals in them. Parabens, often used preservatives in skin and hair care products, are known cancer-causing agents. The Cosmetic and Toiletry Association identified sulfates and glycols as skin irritants and DEA has been found to cause cancer, nausea, vomiting, skin irritation, and a host of other problems. While you will have to cleanse your skin to get rid of your acne, you don’t have to place more chemicals on it that will aggravate your acne and blemishes or rip your outer layer of skin. A recent study conducted by a beauty magazine, ranked Beauty 4 Ashes ® Naturally Clear Acne System and Aubrey Organics ® (www.aubreyorganics.com) as two natural skin care choices that can help acne. Beauty 4 Ashes ® Naturally Clear System actually ranked very high, (4.5 out of 5 stars) cited for its ability to lighten acne scars and reduce pimple and pore size quickly. The Beauty 4 Ashes ® Naturally Clear System (wwwdiscoverb4acom) contains citrus fruits, essential fatty acids, sebum controlling essential oils, natural astringents, green tea, aloe vera, and many other ingredients that have been clinically proven to reduce acne. Because of its ability to control sebum production it was noted as a top choice between natural and synthetic acne products for adult and teen acne.
3) Take Your Vitamins. Vitamin C, B Vitamins, and Essential Fatty Acids have been proven to have a beneficial effect on creating, clear, healthy, balanced skin. Vitamin C has also been shown to lighten acne scars and fight infections, while Essential Fatty Acids have been shown to detox the body and cleanse the system. Take Vitamin C and Essential Fatty Acids on a daily basis. Natrol ® makes a great Vitamin C tablet and surprisingly, Dr. Atkins makes a great Essential Fatty Acids pill. You can both online at wwwdrugstorecom or you can check your local CVS pharmacy.
4) Drink water sweetened with lemon juice, Splenda ®, and apple cider vinegar. Yes, I know this sounds awful, but both lemon juice and apple cider vinegar are known to balance the skin’s PH and detoxify your system. Add as much Splenda® as necessary to make this tolerable. All you need is ½ teaspoon of both in 1 cup of water 1-2 times a day for this to be effective. Your acne and acne scars will improve. Your skin will also become clearer, more even toned, and firmer overall. It is just the price you pay for naturally fighting blemishes and pimples without harming your skin with the additional chemicals and acids in traditional acne medications, such as Proactiv, Retin-A, and Accutane (but, don’t be mistaken, these will work for some individuals).

Acne – Pimples – Zits – the Simple Facts and the Cure I Discovered
Robert W. Benjamin asked the question:
What is Acne – Pimples – Zits: The skin has numerous pores in it, sometimes oil’s, dirt or other things can cause these pores to become clogged, swollen, and red, this condition is called pimples.
What causes Acne in some people: Some folks get plastered with acne as a teen, while others carry some right into adult years, and yet others seem to hardly even get one pimple. Some folks swear that drinking a lot of soda causes outbreaks, while others blame chocolate. These may be more likely skin reactions or allergies to the products, instead of real acne. Because, How can drinking soda or eating chocolate cause ones pores to become clogged and infected ? Some folks say acne is also hereditary, I found out this may not be true also, since I have known parents who had very little acne problems growing up, but their children seemed to be covered with them as teens.
My secret discovery that stopped Acne – Pimples – Zits: I want to start right away by saying when I was a child and teen I started getting acne like most of us did. I tried the major brands of medicated pads and creams, they all helped a little but not much. Then I stumbled upon something that made almost all of my pimples go away for good. I stopped using all soaps on my face. Once I stopped using soaps my skin soon cleared up and I was never really plagued by acne again. Of course I would get one once in awhile or a rare boil someplace, but the acne never came back like it had done before. I often wondered how many teens and even adults that are plagued by acne, constantly wash their faces using soap, to clean their pores, not knowing that the soap may be the real cause of the acne. Of course this may not work for everyone, but when I stopped washing my face with soap, my acne stopped. If soap does not appear to be the cause of your acne, there are several products to try, such as: zeno, acnease, accutane, stridex, zenmed, triclear, tetrasil, astara, phytome, neutrogena, biore, phisoderm, and others.
Should you Pop Acne – Pimples – Zits: Everyone is different when it comes to this. I myself have popped the occasional ones I get, and when I did it always seemed to make them go away much faster then letting them do it themselves, and I have never had a scar form from doing so. But this is up to each of you, if you want to pop then pop, if you fear it, then let it alone. I also have had the occasional hard boils on my face over the years, these I have jabbed with the point of a clean needle then squeezed the junk out of them, once I did this they seemed to go away rapidly also.
How to make Acne – Pimples – Zits invisible or a lot less visible: First of all let me say I am a guy and not a girl, probably the strangest thing in my medicine cabinet is a small body of womans cover-up cream. I use it for hiding any rare pimples, boils, red skin areas or bites I may get on my face or forehead area. If you have fair colored skin, like I do, then you know how much a red sore or pimple stands out, it’s almost like a flashing neon sign saying ‘look at me!’. I found out when I was married, that a little dab of cover-up cream rubbed on the pimple or red spot, makes them almost disappear. Now the hard part is, finding a female to buy a bottle of the stuff for you in the store, so you don’t feel embarassed if your a man like I am, of course when I was married, I bought worse things at times.

Are You Acne Pregnant
Unnikrishnan Nedungadi asked the question:
nant is a common symptom of pregnancy. Women might be exposed to acne rash during the time of pregnancy. The causes for pregnancy acne are much the same as they at other times in a woman’s life. While some members of the with-child set are blessed with nine months of the “pregnancy glow,” most of us are not so lucky. Effective and Safe Skincare during Pregnancy is needed; Let`s be honest, pregnancy can wreak havoc on your skin. Acne pregnancy can trigger acne or make existing acne worse. During pregnancy, acne can vary from moderate to severe and cystic. But there is no need to be disheartened and gloomy. Acne pimples that occur when pregnant decrease and sometimes even go away completely with the passage of time. It is not possible to avoid acne when pregnant. Having said all this, what are the options?
If you are acne pregnant, Consult your doctor about which over-the-counter acne products are pregnancy safe.
Melasma: The Pregnancy Mask Skin becomes more susceptible to pigmentation during pregnancy. If you still end up with the dreaded “pregnancy mask,” you will need to wait to use bleaching products and lighteners until you`re done nursing. Many women manifest adult acne during periods of hormonal changes, like pregnancy, stick-pregnancy, menopause or even when stopping family control pills. What to Avoid : It`s well known that the acne medication, Accutane, is completely off limits for pregnant women (and those trying to conceive) because it causes birth defects. Having said this, Accutane is a powerful drug used in the treatment of acne. Accutane is particularly effective in mid-range severity cases of acne, which have not responded to treatments such as ointments or oral antibiotics. Because of this risk, female patients should take care not to conceive while using Accutane and for at least three months following the end of treatment. Due to this danger, it is absolutely prohibited to conceive during Roaccutane treatment and for at least three months thereafter. Because pregnant women are also cautioned against taking aspirin, it`s best to not use products that contain BHA. So, it goes without saying that one needs to select a treatment with extreme care when the patient is pregnant. Of course, no one wants to have to deal with acne whether they are pregnant or not, but acne treatment in pregnancy is not as easy as some would think. Treatments are based on each individual case. The good news for acne sufferers is that with today’s methods of treatment, bad scarring can almost always be avoided.

Heal Your Pimples Naturally Forever
Helen Hecker asked the question:
There is hope — keep researching, learning and testing and you’ll find the right treatment for you. Because I’m a registered nurse and have come in contact with many acne patients, I’ve learned a lot over the years about acne, pimples, acne scars, and acne treatments. While most forms of acne are merely troublesome or embarrassing, there are some forms of acne that can lead to scarring and pitting of the skin.
While almost all young people experience acne at least once, it’s been reported that 47% of those in their 20s and 30% of those in their 30s had acne. Acne rosacea is a red rash predominantly on the face. Acne is most common in teenagers and young adults. Numerous studies have revealed that acne is not simply a problem of the young; it also afflicts people of many ages, and can severely affect their daily lives.
Experts just can’t agree on what causes acne. As time goes by, more research may help determine just how male and female hormones influence acne and the role diet plays. New studies show that during times of high emotional stress, such as during exam time in high school, there are more acne breakouts; so are stress hormones the culprits?
If you wear make-up choose it carefully; it should be oil free. Try applying a thin layer of coconut oil and massaging it deep into the skin to heal and soothe the affected area. Acne and its treatment is one of the most misunderstood topics there is when it comes to acne skin care.
One helpful remedy seems to be to use ice to reduce the swelling caused by inflamed pimples: rub it over the blemishes for 2-3 minutes. No over-the-counter creams can help your acne from the inside out; they can only kill some of the bacteria on your face and help reduce the redness. Too many chemicals can strip your skin of its natural oils and the skin will overproduce oil to compensate for it, blocking your pores and causing more acne.
A new, non-invasive treatment using red light and blue light in combination has been extremely successful on severe acne. Use papaya and the seeds for exfoliating. Shave carefully and try both electric and safety razors to see which works best for you.
Make sure not to use hot water on your face, always use lukewarm water. This is a little messy but you can try making a paste by mixing three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon together and applying the paste on your pimples at bedtime for two weeks, and wash it off each morning; honey has anti-bacterial action – a cheap, natural home remedy. Most commercial cleansers are harsh on the face and trying to find the right one for you could cost a fortune.
It’s always best to seek non-invasive and natural treatment for any skin condition. One treatment method some people have used is applying cornstarch, egg whites or milk of magnesia as a facial mask.
The best acne treatment is a diet that will help the body eliminate waste; if you’re eating the standard American diet (SAD) it’ll be reflected in your skin. Whether you eat a natural diet of living fruits and vegetables or eat dead junk food, what you eat may have a direct or indirect affect on the male hormones which may or may not play some part in acne. To cure yourself of acne, you need to correct the problems going on inside of your body that are causing the acne.
Essential fatty acids are particularly important to people with inflammatory conditions such as eczema and acne. Adding a lot of fresh, raw fruit to the diet has helped many people clear their skin up; there are tons of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in fruits.
Put two tablespoons of coconut oil in your all fruit smoothies and blend. Good nutrition will help your skin from the inside out. Eating foods with essential fatty acids are particularly important to people with dry skin or acne.
The two most common digestive concerns that affect your skin are not enough water and not enough fiber. Use olive oil with a little very fresh flaxseed oil in your salads.
One should always think about cheaper, alternative, natural, effective treatment methods to get the best cure or solution to their acne, zits, pimples and blackhead problems. By simply following a plan you’ve developed for yourself and sticking with it, you can reduce the severity of your acne or even eliminate it entirely. You should see the results of your cheap pimple and acne home treatment remedies, with improved skin, within just a few days.

Butt Acne Pimples – I Don’t Have Them Anymore and Neither Should You
Audrey Malone asked the question:
Darn! It’s bad enough for some people to have to deal with acne breakout problems on the face, but for those of you who suffer with acne constantly breaking out on the buttocks, I feel your pain. And what about that acne’s nerve? I mean, it doesn’t care. It doesn’t discriminate. It has no sympathy. It will affect anyone at any age, race or gender at anytime and anywhere on the body – including the butt.
Pimples on the butt are an annoyance that you are constantly reminded about every time you sit down, or go to the bathroom, or take a shower, or put on a bathing suit, or whatever. They’re just there and you know it and you want them gone. I’m sure it’s disheartening when you find that your butt is sometimes literally covered with zits, even between the butt cheeks at times! These zits are unsightly and embarrassing, and they can also be very sore when they get inflamed – can’t they? And you’ve tried everything to get rid of them. You’ve tried scrubbing and scrubbing them hard and long, you’ve tried popping them, you’ve tried different over-the-counter and prescription medications, you’ve tried eliminating chocolate, just about everything you can think of, but they still seem to hang around.
What Exactly is Acne?
The most common form of acne develops when hair follicles on the skin become blocked with dead skin cells, coupled with the over-production of oil secretion by the sebaceous glands under the skin. When pores are blocked, oil builds up beneath them, causing bacteria to grow and multiply. Because of this, the affected area becomes inflamed and produces acne lesions or pimples in the form of pustules, cysts, whiteheads or blackheads.
What Causes Butt Acne?
The causes of acne on the buttocks vary but some common causes include irritation from non-fragrance free detergents or fabric softeners, stress, hormonal changes (not just women, men can have hormone fluctuations too), or perspiring under tight-fitting clothing. When you perspire with snug clothing on, perspiration from your sweat glands, your natural body oils and bacteria can clog pores and cause acne to start.
#1 “Get Rid of Butt Acne” Mistake
The biggest mistake that you can make when trying to get rid of acne on your rear is to overdo scrubbing the affected areas and not following an effective cure regimen. Do not scrub, scrub, scrub. This will only cause more irritation and encourage the bacteria and infection to spread and to fester.
What Can You Do?
Part of an effective butt acne cure regimen includes gently exfoliating the affected areas, by using a loofah or acne cleansing sponge to lightly wash your bottom, as opposed to abrasively scrubbing it.
Be sure to shower as soon as possible after perspiring heavily. Also, while exercising or doing other physical activities which cause you to sweat, be sure to wear cotton clothing that fits loosely. This will allow your skin to get more air and hinder the development of acne in undesired places, like your behind!
Do not pick or squeeze the pimples on your butt, this will cause them to become infected.
Follow an effective skin care regimen for your behind, just as you would your face. Note, the key word here is effective. So find one that actually works.
Acne or Keratosis Pilaris?
If you have a bunch of red or white bumps all over your butt, and possibly the legs too, that seems to be a little hard pimple rash, but you’re not really sure. It could be a condition called – Keratosis Pilaris. This condition develops when hair follicles become blocked and get inflamed because of the over reproduction of keratin proteins in the skin cells. This causes bumps to develop which usually seem to be worse in the winter months, more so than in the summer months. Also your doctor can prescribe Erythromycin 2% to help with the symptoms, but it probably won’t clear it up completely in most cases. Be sure to inquire about this type of butt acne at your next doctor’s visit.
Like I said earlier, I feel your pain. I’m Audrey Malone and I have been acne-free over 4 years now, and I had cystic acne on my face and I had breakouts on my body and butt too. And you know what? It has all completely cleared. You will find out how you can clear your acne too by visiting: http://AcneControlTreatment.com You don’t have to suffer anymore.

Making Acne Treatments Work For You

Helen Hecker asked the question:
You can do it — look better, feel better, and raise your self-esteem 150% by getting rid of your acne for good. There are times when one has to think about alternative, natural, effective treatment methods to get the best cure or solution to their acne, zits, pimples and blackhead problems. As a registered nurse, I’ve learned a lot over the years about acne, acne scars, and acne treatments.
Nearly 80 percent of people from ages 11 to 30 years have acne, most often on the face, chest and back. In a survey conducted in Great Britain, 95% of 16-year-old males and 83% of 16 year-old females had acne. The most common types of pimples are whiteheads, blackheads, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts. Most pimples are found on the face, neck, back, chest, and shoulders. The most common type of acne is acne vulgaris.
Understanding that hormones may have some influence on the cause of acne needs to be considered. The cause of acne is really unknown. Doctors think certain factors might cause or contribute to acne including hormone increases in teenage years, hormone changes in pregnancy, starting or stopping birth control pills, heredity, medicines and greasy make-up.
The liver sluffs off toxins from bad foods, drinks, drugs and chemicals and sends them through your skin resulting in skin eruptions, acne, pimples and other skin disorders.
One treatment method some people have used is applying cornstarch, egg whites or milk of magnesia as a facial mask. Coconut is one of the best treatments I’ve found for acne. One good natural method is to apply a thin layer of coconut oil and massage it deep into the skin to heal and soothe it. The treatment plan for acne includes trying to heal the pimples, stopping new pimples from forming, preventing scarring and helping reduce embarrassment.
Treatment with raw apple cider vinegar will work better on your skin if it isn’t already noticeably irritated from acne medicines, acne products or other failed treatment. Drinking pure, filtered water may be the best acne treatment working from the inside out. It just takes motivation, a willingness to try it, and diligent application of coconut oil several times a day and at bedtime to see its benefits.
The good news is that there are several types of treatments to choose from for acne scar removal. See your skin doctor, dermatologist or dermatological surgeon for the best acne scar treatment for you. As a registered nurse, I have learned a lot over the years about acne scars, acne scar treatments, and acne scar removal.
The liver sluffs off toxins from bad foods, drinks, drugs and chemicals and sends them through your skin resulting in skin eruptions, acne, pimples and other skin disorders. Some alternative doctors recommend eating raw cloves of garlic daily for acne. Essential fatty acids are particularly important to people with inflammatory conditions such as eczema and acne. Besides external acne treatment it’s best to work from the inside out too.
Use flaxseed oil or walnut oil in your salad. Good skin is often a reflection of a good digestive system. Eat foods that contain essential fatty acids.
The skin must be regularly cleaned or it’ll become cracked or inflamed. Functions of the skin are disturbed when it is dirty; it becomes more easily damaged, the release of antibacterial compounds decreases and dirty skin is more prone to develop infections.
And whatever you do stop purchasing hundreds of dollars in skin care acne treatment solutions. Analyze all the acne treatments available and make the best decision for you, based on your circumstances. In any case, try not to panic about your acne and take it day by day.

Different Treatments for Acne Pimples
Steve Taylor asked the question:
Acne pimples do not affect everyone the same way or with the same level of severity. While it is true that majority of the people will or have experienced acne pimples at one point or another in their lives, their experience with acne will certainly differ to a great extent. For some pimples will be noting more than minor annoyance during prom or first date, for others it will become a life long battle. This is the reason why there are many different types of acne pimple treatments on the market including prescription and non-prescription.
The first thing to understand about acne is that not all acne is the same. In fact acne is graded on a scale of one to eight, with one being very minor and eight being quite severe. Minor acne such as small pimples known as Whiteheads or blackheads can be treated with various types of scrubs or skin exfoliants available of the counter at your local supermarket or drugstore whereas large acne lesions known as cysts will require specialized treatment, surgery or extra strong acne medicine to bring it under control.
Over the counter acne treatments available at your local drug store, super market or online for that matter are generally comprised of either one of two main ingredients including Benzoyl Peroxide or Salicylic Acid. Neither seems to have an huge advantage over the other, however treatments containing salicylic acid tend to be preferred by people with sensitive skin over BP based treatments. Salicylic Acid appears to be far gentler on sensitive skin than its counterpart. Regardless of the treatment type, the ultimate goal of any acne treatment is to accelerate the skin exfoliating process so that the pore can be cleared quickly and acne can be prevented or minimized.
While minor to moderate amount of acne can be treated or controlled with over the counter treatments, it is not the case with extreme cases of acne lesions. Large lumps or cysts emerging from deep within the skin can only be treated with professional medical help. This is where acne medicine such as acutance come to the rescue. While Accuntane is know to have many dangerous side-effects it is one of the best known medications for treating severe cases of acne.
Minor to moderate acne can be treated with store bought treatments, but when it comes to treating severe acne, it is your best bet to consult with your doctor and have her determine the best course of action for you.

Acne Treatment: What Can We Do About Acne?

W. Darren - asked the question:
There are problems with the sebaceous glands in our skin, the pores can become clogged and acne breakouts may occur. This happens to almost everyone – particularly those who are in their teenage years.
A very common problem
Without a doubt, acne is one of the most common skin problems of many people. In the United States alone, recent health statistics show that almost seventeen million people are affected by acne. Contrary to popular misconceptions, acne, pimples, or zits do not just appear on the face. Rather, the lesions that are regarded as common acne symptoms may also appear on a patient’s neck, back, chest, and shoulders.
Fortunately, most acne breakout gradually disappears overtime. As soon as teenagers reach the age of twenty, acne rarely appears. However, for those who have overactive sebaceous glands, getting rid of this skin condition becomes an overly persistent issue. In fact, most of those who have severe cases of acne end up having permanent facial scars, blemishes, and sometimes – disfigurement.
Finding the right type of acne treatment products
People have different types of skin so they respond differently to various kinds of acne treatment products. What may be successful to your friend may not be applicable to your skin condition. That is why you need to find the right acne product based on your specific needs. Fortunately, there are many types of acne products that a patient can choose from. There are some over-the-counter acne treatment lotions and prescription creams. There are also oral medications.
The type of acne products that a person should use depends on the severity of the acne condition. For mild cases, over the counter treatment creams may heal lesions, especially if paired with acne with medicated facial cleansers. However, for moderate to severe cases, prescription medications may be required.
Aside from the severity of the acne, the patient’s skin type should also be considered. Those who have sensitive skin are often prescribed with mild lotions and creams. As for those who have oily skin, maintenance gels are recommended. Other factors that should be considered are the drying properties, the side effects, chemical components, scent, and ease of application.
Seeking the help of a dermatologist
Although most cases of acne breakouts fade away without the need to apply excessive medications and acne treatment solutions, there are some people who experience more acne problems after over the counter drugs and medications are applied. When this happens, it will be best if the patient immediately seek the help of a dermatologist.
The dermatologist can then decide on the appropriate treatments that he needs. To determine the cause of the acne, the dermatologist will have to examine the acne manifestations of the person and check the skin type. He will also assess the severity of the acne by examining the lesions and the scars. He will also do a thorough check on the physiological features of the patient. He will also ask about the medical history of the patient, along with his habits.
In most cases, the dermatologist will recommend dietary changes, as well as improvements in skin care practices. Patients who have severe acne should take foods that are rich in vitamin A, vitamin B-2, vitamin B-3, vitamin E, and zinc. Oral medications and topical treatment may also be prescribed.
